About Us

Rhubarb Games started out producing and selling high quality, pre-painted terrain pieces for miniature war games in 2003. Success came quickly when our product line got picked up by a major gaming distributor. After 2 years of intense production, we decided to put terrain production on hold and divert our attention towards opening a game store in the Orlando area.

Rhubarb Games as a store started out in a small, 800 sqft, nondescript location and was the little store that could. We survived in a market with larger, more established stores by providing a freindly casual atmosphere with plenty of interesting and unique terrain tables on which to do battle. Most of our community and customers got to know us on a personal level and knew that this was a place they could come by to talk about gaming just as much as they could come by for a game.

Of course this shift in focus from producing terrain to selling games and running gaming events changed the company. We grew from a partnership into an extended family of gamers. Our new team members added diversity and brought new ideas to excite and engage the gaming community. Having travelled to various locales, and growing up in different parts of the country and the world, has strengthened our ideas about what community is and should be.

Rhubarb Games exists to enrich the lives of gaming enthusiasts the world over. We believe that table top miniature gaming, board gaming, and role playing stimulate intellectual thinking, help build social skills and encourages social interaction. It is our mission therefore to create an atmosphere within our retail stores that is exciting and promotes fun and imagination.
