It would have helped Rhubarb if our best players had participated in the competition.

I am really disappointed you and several others were so unwilling to participate in the competition, but you can't just hide behind a reputation if you are not willing to put up.
Rhubarb hosted a tournament to determine who would represent them. We took the people who placed 1,3,4 in that tournament (2 couldn't play). There were some really good players there yesterday, and to be honest, the scores were not even close.

Darkside could not bring all three people, so there was a ringer who participated to prevent anyone from getting a bye. To make it fair in that case, only the top six scores from each team would count towards the final total. (Meaning three teams got to drop three lowest scores, and Darkside got what they got.)

Final scores IIRC:
SnB - 70
CoC - 30
DS - 27
RB - 19

SnB just DOMINATED the tournament. The other three teams combined total for 18 games vs SnB 6 games was only 6 points higher than SnB.  I played against Clark, and he just out played me. It was an amazing game, and I learned a few things from it.

It was quite the adventure. Everyone was in good spirit and the games were fun. One of the guys from Darkside had a custom greater demon - it was HUGE! (and, unexpected - holy crap, what's THAT?!)

So, all in all, a great time. Watch out for next time, I can't wait to try again.

I  just have to say how great it was to meet so many new people you talk to on the internet, but never see! the tournament was EXACTLY what i was hoping it would be...
It was loud...
It was fun...
It was great!  I think people spent more time laughing and teasing each other than they did playing!  THIS is what i was hoping for.
I will post pics up soon... i get back to "work" tomorrow, and that is when i do all my internet stuff! Smiley

Next game, it will be in a more central location (as it is growing larger than most stores can hold now anyway) and I would LOVE for a rep from all stores that participated in the first event to help with missions, faq's, etc so there are no possible loose ends.

I also hope to see more people wanting to participate, but again that is up to each person on an individual basis.

Thanks to Rhubarb... without you guys, this never would have even started, and that is the truth!
